THE LANDSCAPE OF HOUSES

Architectural Installation

Arch Moscow 2022

The installation presented by Arabidze Architects at Arch Moscow 2022 consists of a series of architectural models representing residential projects designed by the studio in different years and locations. Some of the houses have already been built, while others remain in development.

Placed together within a neutral landscape of sand, the houses are removed from their geographic context and appear as pure architectural forms. The composition transforms individual projects into a unified spatial landscape where architecture can be perceived without the distractions of site, scale, or program.

Illuminated from within, the models create the impression of inhabited spaces and emphasize the relationship between architecture, light, and human presence. In this setting the houses are presented not simply as buildings but as spatial ideas - moments where architectural thought begins to take physical form.

The installation reflects the studio’s approach to architecture as a continuous process that moves from concept to realization. By bringing together projects created at different times and in different places, the composition reveals architecture as a field of evolving ideas rather than isolated objects.

The project was awarded the III Degree Diploma in the Architecture section at Arch Moscow 2022
