WHITE FRAME HOUSE

Tbilisi, Georgia
2019

The house is conceived as a clear geometric composition defined by two intersecting volumes. The architecture is expressed through simple white forms that create a calm and precise spatial presence within the garden landscape.

The main façade is organized through large openings and sliding screens that regulate light and privacy. These elements create a layered façade condition where solid surfaces, glass, and lightweight screens interact throughout the day.

The ground floor opens directly toward the garden and terrace, allowing interior spaces to extend naturally into the outdoor living areas. A shallow pool and paved terrace form the central outdoor space around which daily life unfolds.

Inside, the architecture continues through a restrained palette of materials and simple spatial organization. Large openings, minimal detailing, and natural light create a quiet interior atmosphere focused on proportion and clarity.

The project explores the idea of architecture as a composed frame — a house where geometry, light, and landscape are carefully balanced to create a calm contemporary living environment.

BUILDING PROCESS

TBILISI

Tbilisi is the capital and largest city of Georgia, located within the valley of the Mtkvari River and surrounded by the mountainous landscape of the central Caucasus. The city has developed over centuries as an important cultural and economic center, where historic districts coexist with contemporary urban development.

The spatial character of Tbilisi is defined by its complex topography, dense historic fabric, and layered architectural history. Traditional houses, narrow streets, and modern buildings form a diverse urban landscape shaped by the surrounding hills, river valleys, and panoramic views across the city.
