QUIET ART INTERIOR

Tbilisi, Georgia
2023

The apartment is conceived as a restrained architectural space where minimalism meets contemporary artistic expression. The interior is built on a calm spatial structure that allows individual objects and forms to appear almost as independent sculptural elements within the composition.

The living area is organized around a large panoramic window that frames the surrounding landscape. This opening becomes the central visual axis of the space, connecting the interior with the distant hills and introducing natural light as an essential component of the spatial atmosphere.

The layout maintains a clear and continuous flow between living, dining, and kitchen areas. Simple geometric forms, controlled proportions, and minimal visual interruptions allow the space to remain open and calm while maintaining a clear architectural order.

Material and color remain deliberately restrained. Light wood, soft textiles, smooth plaster surfaces, and subtle contrasts create a quiet background that emphasizes the presence of carefully selected objects and lighting elements.

Within this calm environment, several sculptural gestures introduce expressive character — the cloud-like lighting above the dining table, the dark flame-shaped headboard in the bedroom, and graphic artistic elements throughout the apartment. These objects transform the minimalist interior into a space where architecture and art coexist in balance.

BUILDING PROCESS

TBILISI

Tbilisi is the capital and largest city of Georgia, located within the valley of the Mtkvari River and surrounded by the mountainous landscape of the central Caucasus. The city has developed over centuries as an important cultural and economic center, where historic districts coexist with contemporary urban development.

The spatial character of Tbilisi is defined by its complex topography, dense historic fabric, and layered architectural history. Traditional houses, narrow streets, and modern buildings form a diverse urban landscape shaped by the surrounding hills, river valleys, and panoramic views across the city.
