HORIZON COURTYARD HOUSE
Pushkino, Moscow Region, Russia
2020 - 2024
The house is conceived as a horizontal architectural line that extends through the landscape, mediating between interior space and the surrounding garden. Its elongated volume follows the natural terrain and establishes a calm architectural presence within the forest environment.
The architecture is defined by clear geometric lines and a restrained material palette. Light surfaces and continuous glazing emphasize the horizontal character of the building while dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior space. Large panoramic windows allow natural light to penetrate deep into the interior and create a constant visual connection with the landscape.
A continuous terrace runs along the façade as a transitional zone between architecture and nature. It extends the living spaces outward and allows everyday life to unfold between the house and the garden. The outdoor fireplace further reinforces this relationship, transforming the terrace into a place for gathering and quiet contemplation.
The interior follows the same architectural principles. Open spatial organization allows the main living areas to flow into one another, creating a continuous spatial experience. Natural light, restrained materials, and controlled proportions generate an atmosphere of calm and clarity.
The house becomes a place where architecture and landscape exist in balance, creating an environment that supports both everyday living and moments of retreat.

VIDEO VISUALIZATION OF THE EXTERIOR
The exterior of the house is designed in a minimalist style with clean lines and a light gray facade. Large panoramic windows create a connection with nature, allowing light to flow inside and blurring the boundaries between the interior and exterior.
A spacious veranda with a fireplace enhances the sense of comfort and seclusion. The surrounding landscape is also minimalist, with neatly shaped bushes and a pond that adds harmony and tranquility. The overall concept of the house emphasizes functional simplicity and unity with nature.

BUILDING PROCESS
VILLAGE ZVYAGINO-1
Zvyagino-1 is a small residential settlement located within the forest landscape of the Pushkino district in the Moscow region, approximately 30 kilometers from Moscow. The area is surrounded by dense pine forests and protected natural zones connected to the Mosvodokanal reservoir system.
The spatial character of the settlement is defined by the relationship between houses, forest clearings, and nearby water bodies. Buildings are positioned within the landscape, allowing the natural environment to remain dominant while architecture opens toward views of the surrounding forest and lakes.
